MEASUREMENT ALGORITHM — LIVE TRACE
1. Collect Observables
Sample from each agent: embedding cosine similarity (w=0.40), response entropy (w=0.35), cross-agent mutual information (w=0.25)
obs = {sim: embed_cosine(a,b), H: token_entropy(a), MI: mutual_info(a,b)}
2. Normalize Per Observable
Map each raw signal to [0,1]. Entropy is inverted: low spread = high coherence.
r1 = mean(sim); r2 = 1 - std(H)/3; r3 = mean(MI)
3. Compute Composite R
Weighted sum of normalized observables. Weights are tunable hyper-parameters validated against synthetic ground truth.
R = 0.40*r1 + 0.35*r2 + 0.25*r3
4. Avalanche Detection
Monitor |ΔR/Δt| + phase-variance signal. Threshold determines Witness activation.
A(t) = 0.000 ← nominal
5. Corridor Enforcement
R < 0.45 → CHAOS GUARD: increase ε (coupling sensitivity), reconnect nodes
εᵢ ← εᵢ + δε // encourage reconnection
R = 0.40·⟨cos_sim(embed_i, embed_j)⟩ + 0.35·(1 − σ[H_i]/3) + 0.25·⟨MI(output_i, output_j)⟩ · Golden Corridor: φ⁻¹ ≈ 0.618 ≤ R ≤ ⅔ ≈ 0.667 · Witness quorum: k=2, n=6
